Non-surgical rhinoplasty

1. What is a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is also known as a "liquid nose job" or “liquid rhinoplasty”. Dr. Sadideen performs these with hyaluronic acid filler to reshape the nose, particularly for the dorsum (or hump). It is an alternative to surgical rhinoplasty for patients who want improvement without undergoing surgery, or to trial a change in their nasal shape before committing to surgery. Dr. Sadideen will assess your skin quality, underlying framework and desired outcome, and then recommend the optimal approach to achieve these. He often also uses botulinum toxin in conjunction to help with weakening of some of the nasal muscles, in order to further improve the result.

2. What are the benefits of non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can be performed in less than ten minutes with minimal downtime. The results are immediate and tend to settle over two weeks. No anaesthetic is required (unless you specifically want this), and the result can be topped-up and adjusted to achieve the desired result.

3. How long do the results last?

The results can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and individual factors. In some cases, results may only last a couple of months, and so a further top up is required to reach the desired outcome, which will then last 6 to 18 months. Dr. Sadideen will discuss the expected duration during your consultation, and show you images of similar patients to give you a better understanding.

4. Is non-surgical rhinoplasty suitable for everyone?

While it can be an excellent option for many patients, it is not suitable for all patients. Dr. Sadideen will advise you following consultation and assessment..

5. What is the downtime following the procedure?

You may experience some mild swelling or bruising, but this usually subsides within a few days. You can resume most of your normal activities immediately after the procedure. Dr Sadideen will give you specific aftercare instructions such as avoiding: wearing heavy glasses/sunglasses for a few days, trauma (or physical rubbing) and sauna for a week.

6. Are there any potential risks or side effects?

With all procedures, there is a risk of swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site. Serious complications are extremely rare, such as vessel injury that can lead to necrosis or blindness. Dr. Sadideen takes all precautions to prevent these from happening and has taught practitioners on how to minimise these complications.
